Life Jacket Rentals
Life Jacket Rentals was started after the 2019 Chicago to Mackinac Race. After completing a Safety at Sea Seminar and inspecting our equipment shortly before the race was to begin, the team quickly realized a number of items would need to be ordered and replaced before the equipment was considered safe. A lack of uniformity in the ordering process and team’s equipment made for some tricky logistics and last minute stress – none of which is needed before the start of an offshore passage.
Life Jacket Rentals solves this by keeping equipment standardized – and insuring all anscilary components are ready to go at all times. There is a lot more to a life jacket than the air bladder. Lights need to be checked, straps confirmed in tact, and reflective tape in place. Don’t think just because your equipment was good to go two years ago that it’s good to go today – we learned that the hard way so that you won’t have to.
